Booking Terms and Conditions
Version 0.3 · 8 September 2026 · Direct Flights International Pty Ltd (ACN 053 400 463, ABN 65 053 400 463)
1. Scope
These terms apply when you ask Direct Flights to search, arrange, book or help ticket a flight through directflights.com.au, by phone or by email. This launch does not sell hotels, tours, cruises, packages, ground services or travel insurance. We may still recommend that you buy insurance from a licensed insurer.
“Flight Supplier” means the airline, marketing carrier, operating carrier, consolidator or ticketing provider that supplies the flight. “You” means the person booking and every traveller named on it.
2. Agency and payment model
The Flight Supplier supplies the flight. Direct Flights searches, arranges, books and facilitates ticket issue. Unless checkout states otherwise, we act as your agent and as booking intermediary. We are not the airline.
Live airline charging and the merchant of record sit on the retained DFI / consolidator rail until Henry confirms otherwise. Money taken on this website in test mode is not an airline ticket. Customer funds for a live ticket are held and applied by the party named at payment until an electronic ticket number is issued. Tickets may be issued under Direct Flights accreditation or through a consolidator; the channel used is recorded on the booking.
Nothing in these terms excludes Australian Consumer Law (ACL) rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
3. Search, codeshare and separate tickets
A displayed fare is not a guaranteed seat. Prices and availability can change until a valid e-ticket number is issued. A Direct Flights booking reference or payment receipt is not a ticket.
The airline shown in search may not operate the aircraft. Baggage, check-in, seating and operations may follow the operating carrier. Review both marketing and operating carriers before you pay.
Unless a connection is labelled protected, separate tickets are independent contracts. A missed connection may not oblige the next airline to rebook you. You may need to collect and re-check baggage. Transit visas may apply. Direct Flights does not guarantee an unprotected connection.
4. Booking, names and prohibited use
Names must match the passport or accepted ID. You must have authority to book for every traveller. We may decline or cancel requests that involve duplicate reservations, hidden-city or back-to-back ticketing, skipped sectors, or fraudulent or speculative bookings, subject to the ACL and proper refund handling.
5. Price, errors and fees
The total shown before payment is the amount you are asked to pay, in Australian dollars unless stated otherwise. Any Direct Flights service fee is shown separately and is a booking-service fee, not a card surcharge. From 1 October 2026 we do not add a card-network surcharge.
If an obvious technical, currency, tax or data-feed error appears before ticket issue, we may correct it. We will not unilaterally charge more. You may accept the corrected price or cancel and receive the applicable payment back.
6. Ancillaries
Paid seats, extra baggage, meals, lounge access, priority boarding, frequent-flyer numbers and similar extras are requests only until the Flight Supplier confirms them. Refunds of ancillaries follow supplier rules and the ACL.
7. Ticket issue, changes and refunds
Travel is ticketed only when a valid electronic ticket number exists. We record the ticket number, ticketing time and fare rules. Changes and cancellations you request follow Flight Supplier rules plus any disclosed Direct Flights service fee. No-shows can cancel remaining sectors under airline rules.
Refunds and credits depend on fare rules and the ACL. We will not say a statutory remedy is only at the airline’s discretion. Where funds sit with a Flight Supplier we may need those funds returned before we can pass them on, except where the law requires us to refund you ourselves.
8. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for passports, visas, health documents and check-in. Baggage allowances can differ by sector and operating carrier. Do not assume checked baggage is included unless it is stated.
We strongly recommend travel insurance from the time you book. Direct Flights does not sell insurance on this site.
9. Customer misuse, fraud and prohibited conduct
You must not use this site unlawfully, make a fraudulent booking, misuse another person’s information or interfere with our systems. To the extent permitted by law you are responsible for direct loss we reasonably incur from your fraud or material breach. You are not responsible for loss caused by our negligence or unlawful conduct.
10. Privacy, complaints and law
We handle personal information under our Privacy Policy. NSW law applies. You may also use rights available in another applicable place.
